Hi,

My name is Matt Durbin, and I started Jackhammer Jet® to offer a solution to construction and general industry safety managers who needed a way to comply with upcoming regulation. I have over 15 years experience in road and site construction, and have held nearly every position from laborer to gradecheker to project manager, and now to Health & Safety Director. My goal with Jackhammer Jet® is simple; provide an effective way to comply with regulation, reduce exposure, and reduce impact on production with OSHA's final rule on Silica.

In addition to working in the construction industry I have a Masters Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health from Oregon State University, and hold a Construction Health and Safety Technician certification and am a Certified Safety Professional. I am dedicated to employee safety, and providing products which are effective.

Federal OSHA has issued their final rule aimed at reducing lung cancer, silicosis, & chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by reducing exposure to respirable crystalline silica. OSHA estimates that this rule, when implemented, will .."save over 600 lives and prevent more than 900 new cases of silicosis each year..." 

Jackhammer Jet® was created in 2016 to offer the first commercially available Jackhammer misting system which has been proven to reduce employee exposure to respirable crystalline silica. It was originally tested by NIOSH, and adapted for commercial use to serve the needs of those in construction and general industry.
